Archewell boss resigns days before Harry and Meghan's Netflix doc is released

The woman who was president of Harry and Meghan's company has announced she's stepped down from her post.

Founded by the couple, Archewell is a media and charitable organisation that was being led by 40-year-old Mandana Diyani. However, it's been announced that Harry and Meghan will now take on the joint responsibility of running it.

It comes just days before an "explosive" documentary about the couple's life is set to be released on Netflix, which apparently gives an insight into the darker inner workings of the Royal Family.

In a statement, it was clear there was no falling out between Mandana and the couple (mandanadayani/Instagram)

The Mirror reports that the six-part series is jointly produced by Archewell and Netflix, and is expected to spark a backlash from the embattled royal family, who are currently embroiled in another racism storm.

In a statement Archewell said: "Ms Deyani has been an integral part of Archewell and we are grateful for her passion, commitment and leadership.

"Ms Deyani was brought on during their parental leave to move the company and its projects forward.

"She has continued to shape its vision and future successfully. Her transition was mutually planned, with intent for The Duke and Duchess to now take full lead of their company.

"There will be no replacement for this position, and Ms Deyani is fully supportive of the Duke and Duchess in their leadership roles, and they remain friends."

Mandana had only held the position for 18 months, running the day-to-day operations and helping Meghan with her podcast Archetypes.

TV bosses have warned that the upcoming Netflix series could make for "very uncomfortable viewing" for the royals, painting some of them in a bad light.

The couple are set to make bombshell revelations about "The Firm" and what life was really like for them before stepping down as working royals in 2020.

One source in contact with a Netflix production insider said: “I genuinely think it’s going to be worse than the royals can imagine.

“I’m told that it’s going to be utterly explosive and will be very damaging.”
