In recent developments in the Middle East, a group of key Arab nations, including Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Egypt, have issued a strong statement expressing their firm rejection of any attempts to resettle or evict Palestinians from Gaza. This statement comes in response to remarks made by US President Donald Trump, who suggested relocating the population of Gaza to neighboring countries.
The foreign ministers of the aforementioned Arab nations emphasized their commitment to working with President Trump towards achieving a two-state solution in the Middle East. However, they made it clear that they oppose any actions that threaten the rights of Palestinians, such as settlement expansion, forced evictions, home demolitions, land annexation, or the displacement of Palestinians through expulsion or coerced migration.

During a meeting in Cairo, the ministers underscored the importance of rebuilding Gaza while ensuring the continued presence of Palestinians in their homeland. They explicitly rejected the idea of moving over 1 million Palestinians from Gaza to other countries, as suggested by President Trump in a conversation with the king of Jordan earlier this year.
President Trump's comments about 'cleaning out' Gaza and addressing the challenges in the region were met with strong opposition from the Arab nations, who reiterated their support for the Palestinian people and their right to remain in their homeland. The rejection of any proposals that threaten the presence of Palestinians in Gaza reflects the unified stance of these Arab countries in safeguarding the rights and dignity of the Palestinian population.
