Aqara, a leading smart home technology company, has recently unveiled two new innovative products - the Aqara Ceiling Light T1M and the Aqara Smart Lock U200.
Aqara Ceiling Light T1M
The Aqara Ceiling Light T1M is a cutting-edge smart light fixture that has garnered attention for its unique design and advanced features. Unlike traditional smart lights, the T1M offers dual-purpose functionality with an inner core and an outer ring, allowing for visual notifications based on smart home automations and rules.
With compatibility with Matter, the T1M seamlessly integrates into Matter-compatible smart home setups. However, users will need a compatible Aqara smart home hub, such as the Hub M2, for pairing with Matter, Alexa, Apple HomeKit, or Google Home. Aqara is also set to release the Aqara M3 Hub, a brand-agnostic Matter controller, in Q2 2024.
The Aqara Ceiling Light T1M is designed for spaces ranging from 5 to 20 square meters, offering a wide range of lighting options from warm-to-cool whites to 16 million colors. With a Color Rendering Index (Ra) of 90 and a lifespan of 50,000 hours, the T1M ensures high-quality lighting and longevity. Additionally, as a wired fixture connected to the mains, it acts as a Zigbee repeater, enhancing connectivity for other Aqara devices within the network.
The Aqara Ceiling Light T1M is priced at $149.99 in the US and £149.99 in the UK, and is available for purchase on Amazon in multiple countries.
Aqara Smart Lock U200
Alongside the Ceiling Light T1M, Aqara has also introduced the Aqara Smart Lock U200, its first Matter-over-Thread smart lock. The U200 is currently available for pre-order on Kickstarter at an early bird price of $169, with shipping expected in April.
The Smart Lock U200 offers seamless integration with existing door mechanisms and multiple unlocking methods, including NFC, fingerprints, PIN codes, and mobile apps. With the added feature of Apple Home Keys, the U200 enhances security and convenience for users.
