Apprentice star reveals how Alan Sugar and Karren Brady act when the cameras stop rolling

One of the latest Apprentice candidate to be fired says there's no chance for friendly chats off camera with Lord Alan Sugar and Baroness Karren Brady.

Hair salon owner Dani Donovan, 25, made it through to the gruelling interview stage of The Apprentice, but she, Victoria Goulbourne and Megan Hornby were given the chop in the penultimate episode.

Now Rochelle Anthony and Marnie Swindells are left to battle it out in next week's final, after Karren, Claude Littner, Mike Soutar and Linda Plant grilled the candidates on their business plans.

It's all business when the cameras roll, and it seems to be all business when they're not rolling either, according to Dani.

The business owner replied "absolutely not" when asked if there was the chance to get to know Lord Sugar and Karren on a personal level.

She said: "I don't think they are the people you would make small talk with as hard as we did try!

"I don't think they'd be interested - just as we are there to do a job, they are there to do a job too," Dani said, The Sun reports.

She added that cameras are always filming the BBC show so there isn't time for an off-camera catch up.

She added that although the panel may seem harsh to the viewers, they were always fair.

Firing Dani, Lord Sugar said: "Your business plan was really, really bad. You know that."

Dani hit back: "I would like to hope in this process I have proved that, even if my business plan might not be solid, I am definitely a solid businesswoman. I’ve made a profit on a business since I was 19 years old."

Lord Sugar replied: "I am pleased for you about that, I am not sure there’s going to be any extension to your time in this process.

"Dani, it’s been nice working with you, you’re a real bubbly character. Dani it is with regret - you’re fired."

The TV icon had earlier fired Victoria, telling her: "The thing is Victoria there is nothing unique about your business. Frankly, you know I am not sweet on your idea I’m afraid. It’s been nice working with you, but it is with regret Victoria, that you’re fired."

Lord Sugar sent Marnie, Rochelle and Megan outside while he discussed with should make the final two, before inviting the trio back into the boardroom.

"You’re making this pretty hard for me here, my gut feeling tells me. Megan- you’re fired," the businessman replied.

Megan graciously said: "I really appreciate the opportunity and everything I’ve learned here. It’s been an honour," and The Apprentice boss told the fired candidate to "keep in touch"

In the taxi, Megan said: "I might not have kept Lord Sugar sweet this time. But you know what I’m going out there and I’m going to work really hard, and I know I will be a success."
