Plans for a new town centre nightclub and café have been submitted to Bridgend County Borough Council. The plans are for the Windsor building on Queen Street, Bridgend which was formerly home to Hobos nightclub and a tanning salon.
The property could soon become a new venue under the name of Outcasts Music Venue Nightclub and Café, according to plans, and would feature a downstairs coffee shop, bar and nightclub.
If given the go-ahead renovation plans would be carried out to the building which would include alterations to the front of the building with the site containing first-floor toilets, a bar, dancefloor, and ticket kiosk with a downstairs coffee shop.

There would also be alterations made to include a new emergency exit and fire escape steps at the back of the building from the first floor for improved safety. The application has been submitted by Davies Evans Partnership and would be located in a central area of Bridgend town where the council and local shopkeepers are currently debating scrapping pedestrianisation on the high street to attract more visitors.
The proposals come just months after a separate application was submitted to the council to convert a former Grade II-listed fire station and post office depot in Bridgend to become the new home of Hobos live music venue, in Derwen Road, though no decisions on the proposals have yet been made.
