F ollowing the announcement of the Apple-Hermès partnership in September 2015, the first collection included stainless-steel watches in two sizes, matched with leather straps from the French luxury house.
The latest Apple Watch Hermès Series 8 celebrates the Paris-based brand's equestrian roots through the design of the dial and straps.
The Lucky Horse graces the face of the new Apple Watch Hermès, whose variations come in different colours that can change depending on wrist movements.
The playful design also has an apple and a horseshoe on the dial, whose hands at 10:10 form a harness on the horse's head. In Always-On mode, the face surprisingly darkens and the animated horse gives a friendly wink.
The 41mm and 45mm stainless steel Lucky Horse watches are respectively worn with a single- or double-tour Swift calfskin band.
Hermès paired two colours for the single-tour jumping straps in woven nylon, for stainless steel models with a white dial.
A black dial is assigned to versions in a dark stainless steel called Space Black, co-ordinated with a single tour strap.
The 45mm Space Black variation can also be paired with a blue or reddish-brown strap featuring the H en biais motif created in the 1970s. The reproduction of the diagonal H on Swift calfskin is rendered by 1,300 individual and precise perforations.
Equestrian curb link chains inspire the redesign of the Gourmette band. A hand-welded and hand-polished steel chain extends from the Swift calfskin strap for a sporty double-tour style. Meanwhile, the all-leather Gourmette strap is in black for a bold look.
