We’re just a few days away from what could be Apple’s most significant event in quite some time and just a few days past Memorial Day, which brought a ton of savings on gadgets by the technology giant.
Right now, though, you can get a four-pack of AirTags for the lowest price of 2023 at just $79.99 on Amazon. Best of all, that comes to just $20 an AirTag, which is normally sold for $29 apiece. Furthermore, it’s a deeper discount by $10 since the previous discounted price of $89.99 for the four-pack.
Chances are this deal won’t last long, so if you’re sold we’d head over to Amazon (AMZN) right now. But ahead, we’re breaking out what makes the AirTag an excellent item tracker and one that can be essential for travel.

Apple AirTag Four-Pack ($79.99, originally $99 at Amazon)
If you have an iPhone and have been considering getting an item tracker, you can really stop your search at an AirTag. Like AirPods Pro or an Apple Watch, these fast-pair super easily with your iPhone and since they’re made by Apple (AAPL), they quickly sync with your iCloud account.
The AirTag itself is a small circular tracker made out of plastic and stainless steel with a solid amount of technology inside a compact build. There is a user-replaceable battery, a speaker that gets quite loud, an ultra-wide-band U1 chip, and Bluetooth along with some other sensors. All of this works together to be able to show a location on the map and to let you ping it.
Once you pull the tab on the back to set the battery down, simply hold the AirTag near your iPhone and follow the instructions on the splash screen that will appear. You’ll name the AirTag and even pick an icon for it, sync it with your iCloud account, and even set up some stuff to find it if it ever goes missing.
Unlike some other item trackers, like the Tile, the AirTag connects on Apple’s FindMy network which offers coverage pretty much anywhere. It’s the same one that lets you find your iPhone on a map or ping it in a pinch and has countless devices like Macs, iPads, Apple Watches, and AirPods supporting it. The location is all encrypted and doesn’t get stored as well.
Once the AirTag is set up, you can use the FindMy app to see its location, ping it, and with a more modern iPhone you can use “Precision Finding.” If you’re like me and ever lose your keys with an AirTag on them, you can have the iPhone provide turn-by-turn directions when you’re close to it to help you find it. You can even ask Siri to ping your AirTag by its name on your iPhone or a HomePod to find its location.
For instance, with the upcoming summer travel season you could get this four-pack and toss an AirTag in your luggage to track its journey through the airport. This way you don’t just have to put your faith in the airline, but rather can see it as it moves through the luggage systems and when it is loaded onto the plane safely.
In terms of a recharge, you can expect Apple’s AirTag to last for at least a year and when the time comes, you’ll get a notification that the battery is running low. You can then easily swap it by yourself for a fresh CR2032 battery, which are readily available.
At just $20 an AirTag when you get this four-pack, there really has never been a better time--at least in 2023--to score them. It’s a really good deal and one that likely won’t last for a long time.
