Apple (AAPL) CEO Tim Cook waited until the end of his keynote address at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to unveil its biggest new product: an augmented-reality headset called Vision Pro.
Vision Pro is Apple's first device to free its users of a display, blending the physical world with a digital one.

"This is a day that's been years in the making," Cook said. "Blending digital content with the real world can unlock experiences like nothing we've ever seen. It's the first Apple product you look through and not at."
This launch ushers in the era of "spatial computing," allowing users to use their apps anywhere in a move that looks like science fiction made real.
Vision Pro is "magically controlled with just your eyes, hands and voice," Alan Dye, Apple's vice president of human interface said. "You see your space and everything in it. The home view lives right in front of you; it’s familiar, yet revolutionary."
The headset makes people in a FaceTime call lifesize and can turn any space into a fully-immersive movie theater.
The device features a two-hour battery life and a display that's better than 4k in each eye.
Disney CEO Bob Iger made a surprise appearance during the product launch, announcing a partnership between the Mouse House and Apple that will bring Disney to Vision Pro on day one.
"This platform will allow us to bring Disney to our fans in ways that were previously impossible," he said. "We're so proud to be partnering the greatest storytelling company in the world with the most innovative technology company in the world to bring you real-life magic."
The Vision Pro starts at $3,499. The device will be available early next year in the U.S.
