Appeal launched to find missing 11-year-old Lanarkshire girl last seen this morning

Police have launched an appeal to help trace an 11-year-old girl missing from her Lanarkshire home.

Aine Brown was last seen at around 2.35am this morning (August 15) near the Asda superstore in the Palace Grounds, Hamilton.

She had left her family home in Emily Drive in Motherwell, as cops grow concerned for her whereabouts.

Aine is described as white, around 5ft 2ins, of slim build and has long brown hair which is sometimes tied up.

When last seen she was wearing a black gas monkey t-shirt, a dark green Adidas zipper top, black leggings and black trainers.

Inspector Sacha Solman told Lanarkshire Live : “We are growing increasingly concerned for Aine and her welfare and I would ask anyone who may have seen her or knows where she is to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101.

Information can be left anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 55 111.
