An appeal has been launched after a cat was shot dead with an air gun. Cheshire Police were made aware of the shocking incident at around 3.30pm on Wednesday, April 27.
They were informed that the cat had died in an address in the Tomkinson Close area of Crewe. Despite that Cheshire Police believe that the incident occurred between 10am and 11am on the Wednesday. They believe that the shocking incident took place in the James Atkinson Way area.

As a result of the tragic death the force are appealing for anyone with any information in relation to the incident to come forward.
Police Constable Louis Martin, of Crewe Local Policing Unit (LPU) has said: "This incident has been very distressing for the owner and we are doing all we can to locate the person responsible and bring them to justice.
"If anyone in the local area may have witnessed anything that didn't look quite right or have any information that could assist us, please get in touch."
