Appeal for missing Wakefield man last seen in Bury

Update: Lennie has now been found safe and well.

An appeal has been launched after a missing Wakefield man was last seen in Bury. Lennie King, 22, was last seen in Kay Gardens in Bury at around 1.30pm on Wednesday afternoon (June 8).

Police said that Lennie has 'difficulty with communication'. They added he would be unable to speak to anyone who tries to approach him.

The 22-year-old, who was last seen in a pink T-shirt and grey hoodie, is also said to not have a mobile phone with him and is unfamiliar with the local area. Anyone with information is urged to get in contact with police immediately.

In an appeal on social media on Wednesday afternoon, police said: "Have you seen missing Lennie King, 22, from Wakefield? He was last seen on Kay Gardens in Bury at around 1.30pm today.

"He's described as a white male, around 5’8” with short brown hair and sideburns. Lennie was last seen wearing a pink T-shirt, a grey hoodie and grey jeans.

"Lennie has difficulty with communication and would be unable to speak to any person that approached him. He does not have a mobile phone and is not familiar with the local area."
