Appeal for information to help trace missing man, 59, from Ayrshire

POLICE HAVE NOW CONFIRMED THAT FRANK DUFFY HAS BEEN TRACED SAFE AND WELL.

POLICE are appealing for information to help trace a 59-year-old man who is reported missing from North Ayrshire.

Frank Duffy was last seen on Kilwinning Road around 9.40am on Monday morning.

He is around 6ft tall with a heavy build and his family’s concern is growing.

When last seen, he was wearing a burgundy-coloured jumper, black jogging trousers and black plimsoles.

Extensive enquiries have been carried out, although the man has yet to be traced.

Officers are continuing to speak to family and friends for any additional information which could assist them in their search.

Inspector Christopher Cochrane said: “The fact that Frank has not been in touch with his family is concerning and very unlike him.

“I would ask people to look out for Frank and if anyone has seen him or has any knowledge as to where he could be, please get in touch with us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1453 of August 28 2023.
