Glaswegians are being urged to foster a rabbit this year with nearly 200 waiting for a loving home.
Rescue and rehoming charity Beloved Rabbits has a growing waiting list of bunnies that have been surrendered by owners for a variety of reasons, such as' marriage breakdown, finance and health.
Based in Kirkintilloch, the service operates with more than 100 volunteers across numerous roles and a network of around 40 foster carers across central Scotland.
But as demand grows, the group are urging animal lovers to consider offering a rabbit a temporary home while they wait to be adopted.
Volunteer Jacqueline Mitchell said: "The foster care network is a critical part of the rescue and rehoming process. Volunteering is very rewarding, it also gives the love and bond of a pet without the commitments of owning a pet."

Applicants are asked to check the shortlist for their chosen rabbit, consider how your home-set up might look and then fill in the application form. A home check may also be required before a visit is booked at the rehoming centre.
