Appeal as police hunt man wanted for criminal damage and assault

Police have issued an appeal for help to find a man wanted in connection with an assault and criminal damage.

Officers are hunting for Jack Gregory after an incident on April 24 in Leigh. The 30-year-old has links to the Leigh area, as well as the Atherton area in Wigan, police said.

Police have issued a picture of Gregory on social media as part of an appeal. They are urging anyone with information about where he is to come forward.

A post on the GMP Leigh, Atherton and Hindley page said: "#WANTED | We're appealing for help to trace Jack Gregory (30), who is wanted in connection with a Section 47 assault and criminal damage that took place in #Leigh on 24 April 2022. Gregory is known to have links to the #Atherton and #Leigh areas of #Wigan.

"Anybody with information regarding the whereabouts of Gregory is asked to contact police on 0161 856 3622 or contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111."
