Appeal after boy, 12, hit by vehicle at busy Cardiff traffic lights

Police are appealing for information after a 12-year-old boy was hit by a vehicle on a busy Cardiff road. Police were called to reports of a collision at a section of Western Avenue in the Fairwater area.

South Wales Police said the crash involved the boy and a vehicle by the pedestrian lights around 9pm on Thursday April 27. No details of the boy's injuries have been released.

Police Sergeant Alex Jones said the force wanted any witnesses to come forward, adding: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to please come forward. It’s believed that there were people who may have seen this and may have dash cam footage that could assist the investigation.”
