Apparently Zach Bryan Paid For A Shoutout At A UFC Fight That Ex Brianna ChickenFry Attended

Looks like Zach Bryan‘s post-breakup pettiness just hit a new level. The country singer recently made headlines after UFC fighter David Onama gave him a shoutout during a fight at Madison Square Garden — while Bryan’s ex-girlfriend, Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia, was in attendance. Prepare to be cringing a LOT while reading this story.

This past Saturday (local time), Onama gave the most random shoutout to Bryan after his victory at UFC 309. He said, “I wanna come back here next month to watch Zach Bryan in concert.” Seems innocent enough, right? Wrong.

Turns out, Bryan’s team had actually reached out to him for the shoutout according to Onama, who spilled the tea on SiriusXM’s Fight Nation podcast.

“To be honest, I had no idea who Zach Bryan was,” Onama confessed. “I was like, I don’t know who Zach Bryan is, but I’ll give you a shoutout, I’ll give you some love, and that’s why I gave the shoutout.” And this is why we should think twice about giving men microphones.

When the hosts asked if it was a “promo” or a “paid advertisement,” Onama candidly replied, “Yup, exactly. That’s literally what it was.” I CAN’T!

In the lead up to Saturday, Brianna had been hyping up her attendance at the fight on social media, making it clear she would be there. So when Onama dropped that shoutout, it was not giving random at all.

Enter Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports and co-host of the BFFs podcast with LaPaglia, who didn’t hold back when he caught wind of the situation.

“This small little 4-foot-8 fucking psychopath is that pathetic and that lost where they gotta beg UFC guys for a shoutout just to try rub it in Bri’s face?” Portnoy ranted on TikTok.

He continued to roast Bryan for apparently orchestrating the whole thing to get under LaPaglia’s skin: “We get you’re world-famous, but everybody knows you’re a fucking piece of shit loser.”

Brianna’s reaction? She was clearly not thrilled about hearing Bryan’s music at the event — she was spotted booing when his song “Something in the Orange” played during the fight. Kinda iconic TBH. However, she’s not yet responded to the shoutout situation.

This whole saga comes on the heels of their very public breakup, where Brianna accused Bryan of emotional abuse and claimed he offered her $12 million to sign an NDA about their relationship — an offer she promptly declined. And thank God for it cause we’ve got so many deets from the breakup since then .

Onama has since put out a statement on Instagram since the whole situation got “blown out of proportion”.

“A promoter offered me comp tickets to one of Zach Bryan’s concerts if I made a shout out for his upcoming stadium shows. I did it because my teammates love Zach and Zach has always taken care of them when he played in Denver,” he wrote.

“Zach did not reach out to me at all about this. Was simply supporting someone who always supported my team,” he said. Sure diva, just don’t bump into anything on your walk back.
