This Morning hosts Dermot O'Leary and Alison Hammond have issued an on-air apology after one of the show's presenters swore live on the TV. Josie Gibson, a regular presenter on the show, swore during a segment when she was presenting from Blackgang Chine, a theme park on the Isle of Wight.
Alison and Dermot took to the air on Friday to apologise for her behaviour on Thursday.
On the show, Josie, 38, visited the UK's oldest theme park, Blackgang Chine on the Isle of Wight where she braved a terrifying ride called 'Extinction' - to keep in theme with the dinosaurs-themed park. Josie began to panic as she was flung into the air on the ride.
Josie told Alison and Dermot that she felt as though she was going to throw up as she was left terrified before begging the theme-park workers to stop the ride.
Viewers at home were left in hysterics as Josie accidentally swore on air as he began to get more and more flustered.
"Oh my goodness I'm going to be sick! Stop the ride! F***ing hell," Josie screamed before covering her mouth with two hands after releasing that she had sworn live on air.
On Friday, Alison said: "Now if you watched the show yesterday you might have noticed that Josie, after being pushed to the limit and almost being sick on the Isle of Wight theme park ride... accidentally let slip a rude word.
"We didn't hear it did we?"
Dermot added: "She apologised yesterday. We didn't even hear it and we'd just like to apologise as well for any offense it may have caused."
Alison said: "We're apologising that we didn't hear the situation ... she was under stress."
Dermot made it clear they were apologising for the swearing and for missing it.
