'Any other player!' - Wilfried Zaha makes Manchester United admission after Premier League draw

Wilfried Zaha said he feels he could have won the game for Crystal Palace against Manchester United, but for former Eagles defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Palace came from a goal down to earn a point at Selhurst Park, as Michael Olise scored a stunning free-kick late on to deny Erik ten Hag's men all three points, after Bruno Fernandes had given United the lead in the first half in south London.

But while Olise scored the equaliser in second half injury time, the Eagles had a chance after that to go on and win the game, with Zaha bearing down on goal, only to be denied by a superb challenge from his former Palace teammate Wan-Bissaka.

And Zaha praised the 25-year-old as he bemoaned the missed opportunity to get a shot at David De Gea's goal in the closing stages of the contest.

Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Zaha said with a wry smile: "We got what we deserved and we nearly even won it at the end. Any other player! As I was running through I had a little look back and I thought, oh my god, it is Aaron [Wan-Bissaka].

"He is the only one that can do the scoop tackle. It was a great tackle and I can't say anything about it."

The draw ended a run of three straight defeats in all competitions for Palace and moved the Eagles on to 23 points from 19 games in the Premier League this season, with Vieira's men staying 12th in the table.
