Leeds United summer transfer target Charles De Ketelaere has struggled since his move to AC Milan in August. De Ketelaere opted for a move to the San Siro from Club Brugge despite strong interest from the Whites who were desperate to lure him to the Premier League.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of Belgian football's brightest young talents after an impressive campaign for Brugge last season in which he netted 18 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions. However, De Ketelaere has so far failed to live up to the hype at Milan, with his only major contribution across 14 appearances this season a single assist in a 2-0 win over Bologna in August.
De Ketelaere returned to the starting XI for the first time in three weeks after a minor muscle injury in Tuesday's 4-0 win at Dinamo Zagreb on Tuesday. He lasted just 52 minutes, though, as he was replaced shortly after the half-time break by Rade Krunic.

Gazzetta dello Sport labelled De Ketelaere as Milan's worst performer on the night, claiming that he looks 'anxious' on the pitch and is 'perhaps in crisis'. They also stated that the 10-time capped Belgium international ‘seems to be hiding, he doesn’t look for the ball, he has a chance and shoots badly’.
With that said, though, there is no doubt Leeds' current side would be hugely improved by having someone of his ilk in their current squad. The Whites are desperate for that added bit of creativity in the final third of the pitch.
