The first semi-final of the Tailteann Cup pits Andy McEntee’s Antrim against his native Meath in a fascinating battle.
McEntee stepped down as Meath manager last June and, almost 12 months later, he’ll be plotting their demise in Croke Park.
The Saffrons have won four Tailteann Cup games in succession, finishing top of Group Four before defeating Carlow in last Sunday’s quarter-final at Corrigan Park.
Meath pipped Down to finish top of Group Two and claimed a facile quarter-final victory over Wexford last Saturday.
Colm O’Rouke’s side have been one of the favourites for the Tailteann Cup ever since their place in the competition was confirmed, but Antrim have impressed in recent weeks and a close contest is expected.
