A building has been branded a “danger to the public” after it suffered a fresh collapse.
The red brick end terrace house suffered a catastrophic collapse in March when much of an external wall fell away. The building is now separated off from the junction of the Limestone and Antrim Roads in North Belfast by hoarding.
However, Kevin Johnston, co-owner of a nearby business, says it now appears there has been a further subsidence in the building with an internal floor having caved in.

He told Belfast Live: “I came to open up this morning and thought it looked like something had happened but it was dark. But later in the morning I went and had a look and the whole floor has just collapsed and all this furniture that’s been left in the place has fallen down towards the middle.
“We feel like we’ve been left in limbo over this whole situation. It’s now near 28 weeks since the first collapse happened and we have a building that looks like it come down at any minute. Surely this is a danger to the public. If the walls come down and there’s bricks flying everywhere who’s going to hold their hands up at that point and say something should have been done.
“Surely if there’s a danger there somebody, whether it’s council or Stormont, can step in and secure it or pull it down safely then if there’s a bill some owner has to pay later well that’s for the state to sort out.”
Belfast City Council said they are looking into the reports.
A Council spokesperson said: “We’re investigating reports of further structural movement to a building on the Antrim Road. The site around the building remains secured to protect public health and safety.
"It is the responsibility of the property owner to carry out further works to the building. We continue to liaise with the property owner to monitor their progress.”
