Manchester United winger Antony continues to be the topic of conversation after his showboating display in the Europa League on Thursday.
The Brazilian was hooked at half time after he indulged in a trademark spin during his side's clash with Sheriff Tiraspol at Old Trafford. The game was goalless as the 22-year-old twirled round twice with the ball at his feet before passing the ball straight of play. The performance left pundits and fans alike scratching their heads before Erik ten Hag hooked the star off at the break.
And now Ian Holloway has made his stance on the matter clear, branding the former Ajax attacker "disrespectful" while discussing Thursday night's European clash on Sky Sports News. The former Queens Park Rangers boss urged the Man United summer recruit to "grow up" and put a halt to the regular party trick outbursts before his boss and fellow players get sick of his antics.
Speaking on Sky Sports on Friday, Holloway said: "He'd be getting a flea in his ear to be honest. It's disrespectful, I don't even know what he's thinking. Unnecessary nonsense.
"Practice that off the pitch, on the training ground. But when you go out there you've got to be realistic. He gave the ball away two seconds later, kicked it straight out.
"He's had a great start, obviously his manager knows him, his manager won't put up with that and neither will the other players.
"It is disrespectful and it's silly. Grow up a bit."
