Manchester United transfer target Antony has been told to make 'the right choice' by one of his Ajax teammates.
The Brazilian winger is of interest to United and Erik ten Hag is keen to reunite with his former player at Old Trafford. United would like to agree a deal with the Dutch club but they could be priced out of a move.
Ajax's technical manager Gerry Hamstra gave United fans hope after he was quoted as saying "never say never" when asked about the potential of Antony and other Ajax players leaving the side this summer. Ten Hag has already signed one of his former players, Lisandro Martinez, and he would be pleased to add the 22-year-old to United's attacking options ahead of the new Premier League season.

Despite the promising performances of Anthony Martial and Jadon Sancho in pre-season, Ten Hag has said it is "vital" to sign further attacking players due to the congested fixture list during the Premier League campaign. Antony may well add the extra fire-power that the United manager wants, but his current Ajax teammate Steven Berghuis has called for the player not to leave the Eredivisie champions this summer.
Speaking to ESPN, he said: "We are all hoping that Antony is staying. He is old and wise enough to make his own choice. Steven Bergwijn already made the right choice. Now it's up to Antony."
