Antony making two immediate changes to Paul Pogba's house after Man Utd star moves in

Manchester United winger Antony is plotting two changes to his new home after moving into the mansion recently vacated by Paul Pogba.

The Brazilian, 22, joined the Red Devils in an £86million transfer from Ajax at the end of the summer window, becoming the club's second-most expensive signing after former £89m man Pogba. Meanwhile, the Frenchman, 29, rejoined Juventus on a free transfer after his second stint on United's books came to an end.

Having spent six consecutive seasons in the Premier League, Pogba was well-established in England and lived in a palatial £3million abode in Hale Barns, a village near Altrincham. The five-bedroom home did not go unoccupied for long after the midfielder's return to Juve following the expiry of his United contract, as Antony was quickly handed the keys.

There is no shortage of luxury in the former Sao Paolo prospect's new residence, which features a diamond-encrusted staircase and a small area with synthetic grass, an electronic scoreboard and LED lighting, which he can use to hone his abilities. There is also a gym, a heated swimming pool and a sauna, perfect for when Antony wants to work out or rehabilitate from his busy schedule of matches and training sessions at United's Carrington headquarters.

However, one feature of the house the youngster is keen to change is the eye-catching pool table which was customised by his predecessor. Pogba opted to emblazon his initials on the centrepiece, and Antony plans to remove the "PP" and replace it with an "AS".

As he gave a tour of his new home to ESPN, he said: "Yeah, there was an old owner, but I'm going to need to change this [pool table cover], this 'PP'. It was Paul Pogba's house. There is a 'P' from Pogba still here.

"This is one of the things he made, so I'm going to start to change, right? I need to put the 'AS' for Antony Santos. He isn't staying here anymore. Yeah, he [Pogba] has a high standard, but I'm happy to be in the house that belonged to a star player."

Antony has made a promising start to life at United following his big-money arrival, scoring in his first two Premier League appearances, against Arsenal and Manchester City. That being said, he came in for criticism from club legend Paul Scholes in the wake of the 6-3 defeat by City last weekend.

Pogba, meanwhile, is still waiting to make his second debut for Juventus after suffering a meniscus injury in July. The 2018 World Cup winner underwent surgery in early September and faces an uphill battle to have any chance of representing France in Qatar this winter.
