Antony has opened up on how Erik ten Hag's training sessions at Manchester United are far more "intense" than the ones he put on during his time at Ajax.
The Brazilian played under Ten Hag for just over two-and-a-half-years in Amsterdam before the Dutchman was lured to Old Trafford this summer to succeed Ralf Rangnick. Once Ten Hag decided the club was in need of attacking reinforcements, striking a deal for Antony quickly became a priority - although negotiations with Ajax for the coveted forward were anything but straightforward.
And the highly-rated 22-year-old made an instant impact following his £86million switch, which was only confirmed on deadline day, by netting on his United debut in the 3-1 win over Arsenal earlier this month.
Antony has now had a couple of weeks to settle into life in Manchester alongside his old boss, but he has already spotted a major change in Ten Hag's approach since the move.
The winger has that the major changes that the new Old Trafford chief has made on the training field in order to reflect the intensity of the Premier League - a challenge that Antony had already mentally prepared himself for prior to his big-money switch.
"Training is very different but I'd prepared for it mentally," Antony told Manchester United's official website during the international break. "I knew how intense it would be as I've always followed the Premier League. I knew how intense the games were and have prepared and trained a lot to be at 100 per cent as soon as possible.

"The team are part of an excellent squad so we have got to know each other and established an understanding to reach this level and develop our football. We are getting to know each other better each day, game by game so that this harmony can flow and it all works out."
Antony's comments will no doubt please his manager, who was adamant that the exciting winger would have no problem adapting to the rigours of the Premier League following his switch from the Eredivisie.
Speaking after Antony's arrival was confirmed earlier this month, Ten Hag told Sky Sports: "He proved himself already. Champions League, Brazilian national team and Olympic gold medalist. Brazil has a number of players so high talented. You can select two or three teams and he can deal with the pressure. He will bring temperament and creativity.
"Also for him, it is a new start and he has to adapt to the team, to the Premier League and to the high intensity. But I'm sure he will adapt."
