Antony posts update after missing Ajax training amid United interest
Antony raised a few eyebrows on Friday when he seemingly missed Ajax’s first pre-season training session. The Brazilian has been identified by United as a transfer target, and his absence only fuelled the speculation.
The 22-year-old was expected to be back immediately for the Eredivisie champions, having not been involved in the latest internationals with Brazil. Fellow United target Jurrien Timber was also absent, although he will likely have been given a longer break, having featured for the Netherlands earlier this month.

Antony cooled some of the speculation surrounding his future as he returned to Ajax’s training ground on Saturday. The forward posted videos to his Instagram story of himself working out at the club’s gym, along with a message ahead of the new season.
Former defender sends Ronaldo warning to Ten Hag
Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is nearly always a talking point, but the speculation has gone into overdrive in recent days. Reports have suggested the Portuguese ace is eyeing up an exit, having been left unhappy with the lack of transfers so far this summer at Old Trafford.
Chelsea are the latest side to be linked with a possible move for the Portuguese ace. Despite the concerns over Ronaldo’s future, he is expected to stay put and remain a key part of Erik ten Hag’s plans for next season.
However, the new United boss has been sent a warning over Ronaldo’s future. Former defender John O’Shea has insisted Ten Hag must use the five-time Ballon d’Or winner in the 'right way'.
