Antony caps off incredible first week at Manchester United with Brazil call-up

Brazil have confirmed their 26-man squad for the two upcoming friendlies in September, and four Manchester United players have been named in Tite's squad.

United midfielder Fred and recent summer arrival Casemiro have both been included in the Brazil squad, while Antony has also earned a call-up after impressing since arriving at Old Trafford from Ajax. Reds left-back Alex Telles - who joined Sevilla on a season-long loan from United in the summer - has also been selected by Tite.

Brazil will take on Ghana in Le Havre on September 23 and Tunisia at the Parc de Princes in Paris four days later. The friendlies will be the country's final fixtures before the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

It caps off a week to remember for right winger Antony after he also scored on his United debut against Arsenal last weekend as Erik ten Hag's side secured a 3-1 victory over the Gunners at Old Trafford. The 22-year-old is still settling into his new surroundings, but he has demonstrated glimpses of quality in the two matches he has played for the Reds since joining from Ajax.

Following his call-up to the Brazil squad, Antony posted a short video of himself in action for his country on social media.

Fred, who has made 27 appearances for Brazil, has found himself on the substitutes bench for United in recent weeks. However, the midfielder has impressed whenever he's been brought on and has added much-needed energy in the latter stages of matches.

Meanwhile, Casemiro, who made his first start for the club in the defeat to Real Sociedad in the Europa League on Thursday night, is still adjusting following his arrival from Real Madrid.

Telles, who admitted this week that he left United to secure himself a better chance of breaking into the national team set-up ahead of the World Cup, has made four appearances for Sevilla since joining the Spanish side on loan for the remainder of the season.
