Antony at centre of £20million payment war after completing Manchester United transfer

Rival agents are embroiled in a bitter £20million war over Antony’s big money move from Ajax to Manchester United.

And it’s set to get nasty with TWO parties claiming THEY had the biggest hand in the South American’s £86million switch from Amsterdam to Manchester. The deal is the biggest in Dutch football and it’s already causing ructions behind the scenes with the new United star at the centre of a multi-million pound squabble.

The Forza Sports Group, with Revien Kanhai their owner and a leading agent, claimed on Instagram they did the deal labelling it the “worldwide biggest transfer this year”. Despite Forza’s public stance, Junior Pedroso - the winger’s Brazilian agent - is claiming in South America that HE was the controlling influence in the deal.

The Antony transfer concluded a busy window for ten Hag and United with six players arriving at a total cost of over £206million.

But although the window has closed, the fall-out from the Antony deal, the second biggest signing ever by United behind the £89m deal for Paul Pogba in 2016, looks set to rumble on.

Ten Hag is tipping the Brazilian, whom he coached at Ajax, to have a big impact at Old Trafford when he gets up to speed.

"He proved himself already," said Ten Hag on Friday. " Champions League, Brazilian national team and Olympic gold medalist. Brazil has a number of players so high talented. You can select two or three teams and he can deal with the pressure. He will bring temperament and creativity.

"Also for him it is a new start and he has to adapt to the team, to the Premier League and to the high intensity. But I'm sure he will adapt."
