Antonio Conte has urged his Tottenham players to replicate the same level of performance they put in when they lost to Manchester United at Old Trafford last season. The two sides last met in Manchester back in March, when United won 3-2 thanks to a Cristiano Ronaldo hat-trick.
Ronaldo gave United the lead on three separate occasions in the match, after a Harry Kane penalty and a Harry Maguire own goal had twice drew the away side level.
United's win was sealed when the Portuguese forward completed his hat-trick in the final ten minutes of the match, securing his side the three points in an evenly fought encounter.

Speaking ahead of their upcoming clash on Wednesday night, Conte urged his players to ignore the threat of Ronaldo and focus on replicating a similar manner of performance.
“Last season, Ronaldo was decisive,” Conte told SPURSPLAY. “He scored three goals and after the game, I said we lost against Cristiano, not United, because I think we played much better than them, and to lose the game... but to have a good performance at Old Trafford is important for your confidence, your trust, and on Wednesday we need another good performance against a strong team, in a difficult environment like Old Trafford.
“We want to play a good game, we want to play with personality, we want to show first of all to ourselves that we are improving, that our level is growing and then, I repeat, we want to give satisfaction to our fans.”
