Tottenham have been sent a clear warning by head coach Antonio Conte, suggesting that his former clubs have come to "regret" losing him. It comes as there's doubt over the future of the Italian in north London, with just a few months remaining on his current contract.
With the side struggling for form in their goal of reaching the top four, there are further doubts from supporters as to whether a project for Conte is the right way forward. Such is the concern, the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust have released a statement over wanting answers on the long-term direction of the club.
"Two weeks ago we asked the Board of THFC to outline its strategy and vision," the statement reads. "Today (Tuesday, January 17) Antonio Conte asked for the same thing. It is clear to everyone that, for there to be a chance of success at this Club, the vision and strategy of the Board and Manager must align."

Amid questions over the future of Conte, the manager sent out a clear warning to the club surrounding the next few months of his tenure. When questioned over his commitment to the cause, he said: "I don’t read and I don’t hear this but the people who know me and you can tell me, I could be not a good coach, but about the commitment and what I give the club where I work, no club was unhappy about this.
"Usually when I left the club they regret me [leaving] a lot because they knew the way that I work and the commitment I put into the club, what I give for the club. Yes. I think this, but in this aspect I am really happy for the way that I am."
It remains to be seen what is next for Conte, with the Lilywhites now stuck between whether they back a manager that is uncertain on the future, leave things until the summer rather than act right away or if a new direction and perhaps head coach is needed.
