Antonio Conte opens up on Daniel Levy discussion and whether Tottenham are happy with his work

Antonio Conte has confirmed that he is committed to Tottenham in wake of his post-match comments after their defeat at Burnley on Wednesday evening.

Losing 1-0 thanks to Ben Mee's header 20 minutes from time, the Italian questioned whether he is the right man for the job after the Clarets' victory meant it is now four defeats for Spurs from their last five league games.

Although the Italian only took on the job at the start of November after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm, his interview after the game alarmed fans and many were talking about a potential exit.

However, Conte has now reassured supporters over his future and revealed that he has indeed spoken to chairman Daniel Levy about the current situation.

"Yeah, I spoke with Daniel. I repeat, sometimes I don’t like that I see that someone tried to create a problem between me and the club because this is not true, believe me. This is not the truth," he said.

"Our chairman Daniel Levy he knows very well that I’m here to help the club in every moment and will help the club until the end.

"This is the reality and he knows this and he knows that we are working very hard and he has great consideration about my job, about the job of my staff and we speak.

"I repeat, I want to help the club in every aspect, also with my vision, with my idea and my ideas about football, for improvement and I repeat, no problem.

"He shows me great consideration every day and for this reason I am committed for this club much more because I know that the consideration of the club for myself is very high."

When asked if he has considered leaving, he added: "I think that in this moment, the best solution for us is to continue to work very hard and I think the work is the only way to try to give satisfaction to our fans, to give satisfaction to the club.

"It is important to be focused, I repeat, on the present. It is many, many times that I repeat always the same things: we need time, we need patience.

"The club is the first to know which is our real situation and the club confirmed to me they know which is the reality. The club is very happy about my work, about what we are doing with my staff. The change that we brought in these four months in this club, in the training ground, in this environment.

"I’m sure the club is appreciating a lot what we are doing, but the problem is I am a perfectionist and I know very well, the improvement that my work will bring in the future.

"At the same time I’m a person that I want to reach a result quickly and when I lose, I don’t stay so happy. I think maybe to be in this way brought me the success in my career before as a player and as a coach."
