Antonio Conte makes Tottenham summer transfer claim and discusses Dejan Kulusevski's loan deal

Antonio Conte has revealed he is yet to give Fabio Paratici and Daniel Levy a shopping list ahead of the summer transfer window opening for business. Following a busy summer for the club last year with their new managing director of football moving on a number of players and bringing in some fresh faces, more of the same is expected to happen ahead of 2022/23.

Conte's first transfer window at Tottenham saw Paratici return to Juventus to clinch deals for Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski, with the pair instantly improving the team to get them back in Champions League contention. The boss will be hoping Spurs can bring in a few more quality additions to improve the squad, although he has joked it would be a very big list at present due to their small numbers.

"[Laughs] No, no, no. We're totally focused on this season," he said in his pre-match press conference. "Also, because I repeat, we're finishing this season with only 15 players and at the moment it's not convenient to give them a list, because the list it would be very, very, very big! You understand? It's not a good moment to give them the list."

While Bentancur's move from Juventus is a permanent transfer, Kulusevski's is only a loan deal after the clubs agreed on an 18-month loan agreement. The deal for the Swede does contain a £29million obligation to buy if certain criteria are met, but Spurs can move early to sign him for £25million this summer and save some money in the process.

So will Conte advise Tottenham to move early and sign the Swede permanently this summer?

"Yeah, but I think he's on loan but it's like a deal ended. He's a Tottenham player 100% in every aspect. Not officially, but he's 100% a Tottenham player," the 52-year-old told football.london .
