Antonio Conte has to decide who will start for Tottenham against Wolves but also how he will set-up, in a game which could earn Spurs a much needed three points.
The Lilywhites are currently seventh in the Premier League and just four points off a place inside the top four, with three games in hand.
Spurs had a positive start to the month when they beat Brighton in the FA Cup fourth round but their most recent fixture against Southampton ended in a 3-2 defeat and was a poor performance.
Conte doesn't have long to prepare his side for a reaction to the loss as they welcome Wolves to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday and there's a much needed three points up for grabs.
The Italian revealed in his pre match press conference that Eric Dier, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga would all still be unavailable for Sunday's match.
Spurs are already having to deal with these injury problems, which isn't helping the ongoing issue they have with a lack of squad depth.
Sending out Dele Alli, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso and Bryan Gil during the January transfer window and bringing in just two replacements in Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski hasn't helped with squad numbers.
The former Juventus duo have both shown glimpses of potential already, being substituted on in the second half of both games, since their arrival.
When speaking to the media on Friday, Conte was asked if the two new players were now available to start.
"For sure this could be a possibility," he admitted. "They are available and we have another day of training sessions to make the right decision.
"But for sure they’re available and working with the team. I prefer to wait until tomorrow, the last training session and then make the best decision over the starting XI on Sunday."
In the two games the duo have featured in, Bentancur has come on in the centre of midfield and Kulusevski has played further up the pitch, although Conte has already revealed that the latter can play in a number of positions.
In their short amount of game time so far, the Uruguayan international has already caught the eye of Tottenham fans with moments of skill and composure.
Ahead of the Wolves game, the 52-year-old was also asked where he sees Bentancur best fitting in.
"I think the best position for him is to play [as one of] two midfielders," Conte explained. "He always played there but then with the national team and also sometimes with Juventus, he also played in a three in the midfield but in my mind the perfect suit for him is to play with the two midfielders."
This is where the 24-year-old has slotted in to the Italian's favoured 3-4-3 formation in the last two games and it is a set-up Conte has opted for in most games so far this season.
However on a couple of occasions the Spurs boss has moved to a 3-5-2 formation, which also seemed to work for Tottenham and help add some creativity.
In their 2-2 draw against Liverpool, Harry Winks, Ndombele and Dele occupied the midfield and in the thrilling comeback against Leicester it was Winks/Lo Celso, Skipp and Pierre Emile Hojbjerg.
The trios are very different in skillset but both worked to help Spurs' attacking flare and get points out of the game.
In Wednesday's defeat to the Saints, Hojbjerg and Winks had some shaky moments on the ball and struggled to deal with the press from Ralph Hasenhuttl's side.
Bentancur replaced the Dane and added some composure to the middle of the field but it wasn't enough to get any points from the tie.
Therefore the Spurs boss has a decision to make in whether to stick to his favoured formation or change it and try and create more of a presence in the middle of the field.
He admitted that he believes Bentancur would work best alongside one other midfielder but with Skipp unavailable and neither Winks or Hojbjerg performing at their best in recent games, it raises questions over who he will play alongside.
If the Italian chose to play the two who started against Southampton and the new arrival, it could create enough cover for the defence but also allow the Uruguayan international to push forward to try and help the attacking play.
It would seem more likely that it will be Hojbjerg or the 26-year-old alongside the ex-Juventus midfielder and whoever is picked will need to produce a better performance than Wednesday's.
If Conte did opt for a 3-5-2 set-up, it would also take someone away from the attacking trio and it would likely be a front pairing of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, as the Spurs boss has alluded to the importance of both players in recent press conferences.
It's something that Conte will have to think about but with a trio of away games to be played soon after the home tie on Sunday, it doesn't give the 52-year-old much time to experiment.
