Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has admitted that he will have little say in Harry Kane's future at the club amid Manchester United's ongoing interest in the striker.
Kane, who has netted 22 goals in all competitions this season, has been earmarked, as reported by the Manchester Evening News last week, as United manager Erik ten Hag's top target ahead of the summer transfer window. The Reds have grand ambitions to strengthen their forward options ahead of next season and the England captain is a leading target.
The 29-year-old, who has been included in Gareth Southgate's England squad for their upcoming European Championship qualifiers against Italy and Ukraine, is out of contract in north London in just over 12 months' time and is yet to put pen to paper on a new deal. It means Spurs may be prepared to listen to offers for him this summer ahead of running the risk of losing him for free in the summer of 2024.

However, issuing an update on the striker's future, Conte, whose own future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is in doubt, has confirmed that any decision relating to Kane will be made by those above him at the club.
"I think this is a question for the club, because, for sure, the club wants to involve Harry Kane for the rest of his career, in my opinion," said Conte, addressing the media on Thursday afternoon. "Whenever you have this type of player, a world-class striker like him, for sure, you want him to stay here for the rest of his career.
"You know football and sometimes it is unpredictable. It is not in my task to make a decision and this is a decision for the club and for Harry."
Kane, who has scored north of 200 Premier League goals during his career, has emerged as a popular contender among a lot of United supporters to become the face of the club's forward line next season. The England captain would offer the guarantee of goals and add a wealth of experience to Ten Hag's squad.
United, however, are keeping their options open and do remain interested in Napoli striker Victor Osimhen. He scored a brace to take his tally to 23 goals for the season on Wednesday night, helping the Serie A leaders reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League for the very first time in their history.
