Tottenham star Richarlison will not miss the World Cup despite hobbling off in the win over Everton - but he won't make the midweek clash with Manchester United.
The Brazilian was forced off against his former club Everton in north London on Sunday, with his injury reducing him to tears amid fears of how severe it could be. Richarlison has become a major player for his country and, with the World Cup just one month away, was clearly conscious that he could miss out.
Antonio Conte, though, has confirmed that his forward will not be absent for the tournament in Qatar but is still awaiting the full diagnosis as the player underwent a scan. The games continue to come thick and fast for the north Londoners and they will travel to Old Trafford minus Richarlison.
The Italian said: "Tomorrow we have another training session and we'll see. It will be very difficult to have some of them returning against Manchester United. The injury about Richarlison he is doing a scan, an MRI and then we'll see how long he needs to recover. For sure against United he is not available."
Conte also added: "It's an injury but not so serious. He has a problem in his calf. I think he needs a bit of time to recover and then to be fit. I hope for him to play other games with us before the World Cup but for sure the injury is not so serious.
"I'm happy for the player because to play in the World Cup is the dream for every single player and for this reason I am happy for him. Also we're talking about a player that when he goes to play he gives you everything."

Last term Dejan Kulusevski had become the third man in Tottenham's front three following his arrival from Juventus. He performed impressively alongside Harry Kane and Son Heung-min but is also absent, putting further pressure on Conte's options.
The Tottenham boss said on his recovery: "Kulusevski is working. We are going day by day with him. I don't know about the game against Manchester United, the doctors are working with him. It's the same injury [hamstring]. The medical department are working to recover him but at the same time there are situations that you have to go a bit slowly and not accelerate the process. Sometimes if you do that you worsen the situation. We hope to have him in the squad very soon."
Tottenham lost on their last trip to United as Cristiano Ronaldo scored a hat-trick back in March. Conte said on the contest: "I have great admiration for Cristiano, for his professionalism, but I hope [Wednesday] is not like last season. We lost 3-2, but we lost against him, not against United last season."
