football.london understands that Spurs are ideally looking to bring in at least two new players in the January transfer window as Conte looks to bolster his defence and attacking creativity and any opportunities to upgrade existing fringe players will be examined in what is expected to be a busier than normal window across clubs in Europe thanks to the World Cup break and associated injuries.
Our two Spurs correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest have been discussing the talks between Conte and the club's board as well as links with players such as Sporting's Pedro Porro in the latest episode of their podcast - Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham.
They also discuss concerns within the club that the academy players do not have a pathway through to Conte's first team and they risk losing their top young players because of it.
