Antonio Conte confirms double injury boost for Tottenham as he makes medical department claim

Antonio Conte has confirmed that Rodrigo Bentancur and Lucas Moura are available for Tottenham's Premier League clash against Everton on Monday evening.

Without the duo for Spurs' past two games against Leeds United and Middlesbrough, the return of the players will give the team a boost as they look to get back on track following their FA Cup exit at the Riverside Stadium.

Bentancur has not featured for Tottenham since coming off at half-time with an ankle injury against Burnley, with Lucas sustaining an issue in training prior to the team's trip to Leeds.

While it is good news on the duo, Conte revealed that Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga will once again miss out due to their respective groin and knee injuries.

"Yeah, Bentancur is available. The same for Lucas Moura. For Skipp and Tanganga, they’re still not available. We have to wait," said the head coach in his pre-match press conference.

When asked about Skipp's fitness, he added: “Oliver Skipp… it is a pity I think in England that sometimes you should have a conference with the medical department.

"The doctors, it is too easy for the doctors to work here, because they don’t speak, they don’t explain what happens, you understand?

"Sometimes I think that could be good, one day, if in two weeks, to have a good press conference with the medical department to explain about the situation of the players, about the situation that they are trying to take care of their players.

"It is too easy for the medical department in England, I think so."

Asked about when exactly Skipp could return, the head coach made it clear it is a waiting game.

“He’s not ready, he’s having this problem with groin pain, and is fighting and he could recover before but maybe something was wrong, and now we have to wait," said Conte.
