Antonio Colak targets Rangers improvement on the road ahead of Hearts clash

IBROX has become home sweet home in more ways than one for Antonio Colak following his summer switch to Rangers.

And the Croatian is determined to start hitting the target on the road as he prepares to lead the line for Michael Beale's side at Tynecastle.

Colak scored an impressive 14 goals during the first half of the campaign after moving from PAOK to join up with former boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

His first strike away from Ibrox came in the memorable win over PSV Eindhoven and he bagged a brace as Rangers won 4-0 at Hearts in October.

Rangers are unbeaten in ten matches under Beale's guidance and Colak is confident the goals will come away from the green grass of home.

"Yeah, I mean it reflects also the whole team," Colak said when asked if he is aiming to improve his record on the road. "We have now started to play better in the away games since the new manager came in.

"Of course this will affect myself as well and I hope I will score more goals away from home. It is always nice to score at Ibrox because it is home.

"There you know everything…where the goals are blindfolded. I will work on myself to have a much better record away from home.

"At the time it was a big statement [win over Hearts] but if you look back to then until the red card really a tough game. Everybody knows how hard it is to play there.

"They are also on a great run, with great players playing well, so we have to be aware. We have to go there and show who is the man on the pitch.

"It will be a tough game and we have to adapt to that. We just have to play how the manager wants us to play and get the three points.

"When I was there it was my first time and of course I enjoyed it. The heated atmosphere is what you want to play through as a player."
