Antonio Colak on Rangers transfer decision as he namechecks three former stars he followed for years

Antonio Colak has namechecked three former Rangers stars as he spoke for the first time since completing his move from PAOK.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has landed his top transfer target after a lengthy chase with a three-year deal penned by the Croatia cap. He will provide extra firepower in the attacking third alongside Alfredo Morelos, Kemar Roofe and Fashion Sakala.

The 28-year-old has hailed his move to Glasgow as huge and has thanked everybody who has played a part in making the switch to Ibrox happen. He has revealed Rangers was the only club he wanted to join after learning of their interest and is delighted the time has finally come for him to be a part of the club going forward. He also opened up on following the Light Blues for many years with the atmosphere in the Champions League game while playing for Malmo last year NOT the only reason behind his move.

He also named three former Rangers fans' favourites that he kept tabs on for many years as he opened up on his goosebumps.

He told Rangers TV: "First of all it is a huge and amazing feeling to finally be here.

"I have to thank everybody in the club who worked night and day and also my agent and all the people around me who supported me to bring me to Rangers.

"Since I knew Rangers wanted me, I was just focussing on being here and now I am happy that the day has finally arrived and I am a Rangers player.

He continued: "It was not only the game I played last year. It was an amazing atmosphere.

"I know from my past I am a football addict and always following all the leagues.

"I was following Rangers since Dado Prso, Nikica Jelavić and Nacho Novo and I also watched the players being successful and scoring to bring the fans and people on side.

"This feeling gives me goosebumps and I want to achieve similar things.

"This is one of the main reasons why I wanted to join Rangers."
