Former NFL superstar Antonio Brown has once again shown his lack of class by taking another cheap shot at former friend and legendary quarterback Tom Brady in a new social media post.
On Sunday evening, as Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers were being defeated by the lowly Carolina Panthers in a surprising result, former teammate Brown posted a photoshopped image of himself with Brady's wife - Gisele Bundchen.
The original image was of Brady and his wife celebrating on the pitch. Reports in America suggest Brady and Bundchen are in the midst of divorce proceedings.
Brady and Brown had become close in 2019 after the latter's bizarre time with the Oakland Raiders. Brown was traded to the Raiders after requesting a trade away from the Pittsburgh Steelers where he had spent his entire career and had established himself as one of the best wide receivers in the league - on the trajectory to going down as one of the greatest of all-time.
But his actions started to become bizarre after his trade to the Raiders, as he first missed training camp after giving himself frostbite when he was not wearing correct footwear during a cryotherapy session - which saw him have bad blisters on his feet.
He then filed two grievances against the NFL and would not practice with the Raiders after not being allowed to use his old helmet, which did not meet the NFL's standards. Before ever playing a game for the Raiders, he demanded his release, which was granted as he then chose to join Brady with the New England Patriots. That would only last one game, though, as Brown would then be released after legal issues away from the field.
He would be suspended for the first eight games of the NFL season for his actions, before being picked up by Brady's new team, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Brown would actually live at Brady's house during this time, with the quarterback becoming a 'mentor' to him, as Brown stated.
Now, however, it appears Brown has turned his back on the iconic quarterback. This isn't the first time the wide receiver has poked fun at Brady's alleged marital woes, as he previously posted a picture of himself with Bundchen while at the Buccaneers.
It seems his NFL career is over, despite a few hints from the 34-year-old suggesting he is eyeing a comeback. No NFL team has been credited with interest in Brown.
