An Uber driver, who unknowingly had the fake grenade left in their backseat by a passenger, called 911 in a state of panic. The driver's distress highlights the tense atmosphere created by the protest, which impeded law enforcement's ability to address the bomb threat promptly.

The New York Police Department (NYPD) reported that some protesters obstructed officers attempting to reach the bomb threat location, resulting in six individuals facing charges of resisting arrest and two others facing assault charges. Deputy Commissioner Cass Daughtry condemned the actions of those who impeded the NYPD's response, emphasizing that such behavior would lead to legal consequences.
