Anti-austerity protesters are set to descend on Dundee city centre this weekend.
The demonstration called ‘ Defend Dundee’s Future ’ will be begin at Albert Square at 1pm on Saturday.
The group is protesting over the ‘ huge hike in the cost of living that is taking place and which will hit the poorest hardest’.
Organisers say this is against a backdrop of the rich getting richer through the pandemic while frontline workers, communities and ‘all those who came together to get Dundee through the crisis are paying for the greed of others’.
They have asked supporters to bring placards as the city 'stands together against a cost of living crisis'.
The protest is part of UK wide demonstrations led by The People’s Assembly, a broad united national campaign against austerity, cuts and privatisation in workplaces, community and welfare services.
