Let's not be coy: the best time to shop Anthropologie is during its sale. As Livingetc's Style Editor, I spend a ton of time scouring the site's seriously fabulous offerings, but there's no getting away from the fact that the prices are at the top end of most budgets, including mine.
However, come Anthro sale time, with a guaranteed treasure trove of style-forward markdowns, it's one of the best places to shop elegant, elevated homewares at more middle-of-the-road prices. Anthropologie usually has a competitive sale around Black Friday, which in 2024 falls on 29th November. Though the sale is not yet live on its website, you can visit the Anthropologie Black Friday page regularly to check, visit this page for updates (and the best finds) or sign up to Anthro's newsletter for the latest information.
Are Anthropologie Black Friday Deals Any Good?
"Anthropologie's Black Friday sale is definitely worth shopping," says LivingEtc's Ecommerce Content Director Lindsey Davis. "Discounts tend to be most generous on the website from around mid-October onwards, matched with the widest offering, building towards the official sale period at the end of November. In the past, I have seen discounts of at least 50% on a whole range of items, but particularly those that Anthro won't want to sell come the new season."

"Anthropologie's sale period extends beyond Black Friday into and after Christmas," continues Lindsey Davis, "with particularly good discounts on seasonal decor, such as holiday decor and candles."
Are Anthropologie Black Friday Sales Better Than After Christmas Sales?
"Which to shop: Anthropologie Black Friday or post-Christmas sales? The answer very much depends on what you want to buy," advises Lucy Searle, Livingetc's Ecommerce Content Director. "In fall, in the run up to Black Friday and beyond towards Christmas, there is usually a wider offering of product on sale with good discounts. Once you get post-Christmas you will still see healthy discounts, but much of what's on sale before Christmas might have gone out of stock.
"So, if you're shopping candles, anything that could be gifted, short-term collaborations or very seasonal items, such as holiday decor or cozy bedding, consider getting it before Christmas; furniture staples will no doubt still be on sale beyond Christmas, though prices might well rise and stabilize again in preparation for the next sale, so if you see what you want on sale, snap it up."
When Is A Good Time To Shop Anthropologie?
Shopping Anthropologie around sale periods is the best time to shop. This includes Black Friday, post-Christmas, around Labor Day, Memorial Day and the Fourth of July.
