Dillian Whyte has had a long wait for his shot at the world heavyweight championship and now finally gets his shot at Wembley on Saturday night. However, his winnings will be subject to an 80:20 split with Fury as the current WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion, something Whyte has taken issue to in the build up.
The Londoner missed last month's press conference and other promotional events, seemingly in protest over the fight's promotion but has arrived in his home city for the fight. The 34-year-old is set to receive £5.5 million for the fight in comparison to roughly £40 million for Fury.
Frank Warren won the purse bids for the fight, beating Eddie Hearn's £23 million bid with a bid of approximately £30 million. Anthony Joshua knocked-out Whyte in 2015 on the way to a World Championship fight at Wembley in 2017 against Wladimir Klitschko but said in an interview with iFL TV that he was happy for a man who he describes as an 'enemy'.

Joshua explained: “Even though Dillian Whyte is an enemy of mine, I’m low-key happy for him. He added: "It’s a good defence (for Fury) against Whyte."
Whyte will receive up to £3 million should he win the fight on Saturday but the doors that would open as the world champion could well be a rematch against Fury, or a unification bout with Oleksandr Usyk.
Joshua added: “Dillian Whyte needs to come in, look at what Tyson Fury does, and react to the complete opposite. Maybe work the body and be conditioned to go the distance, but I hope Dillian trains hard and doesn’t underestimate Tyson.
“Because it’s his first time fighting for a title, I think he’ll be hungry. This ain’t his 10th time fighting for a title and he can have a little hiccough along the way; this is his first time fighting for a title.
“I’m rooting for Dillian, even though I hate him and I wanna smash him one of these days. Go on, Dillian, I’m with you all the way.”
