Anthony Joshua Gives Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury 2 Prediction

Anthony Joshua is backing former foe Oleksandr Usyk to beat ‘The Gypsy King’ for a second time on December 21st. The former two-time world heavyweight champion has given his Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury 2 prediction ahead of their rematch.

Anthony Joshua Gives Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury Rematch Prediction

Anthony Joshua is a man who knows a thing or two about boxing. ‘AJ’ is not only a two-time world heavyweight champion, but he is also an Olympic Gold Medallist and someone who has been there and done it as a professional fighter.

Eddie Hearn signed Joshua in 2013 off the back of his London 2012 Olympic success, and has been with him all the way through his career. Hearn was the man who first got ‘AJ’ his maiden world title shot, before building him into a mega-star with some huge fights in the UK and further afield.

Not only does Anthony Joshua know a thing or two about boxing, but when it comes to the Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury rematch, he is a man who knows more than most. This is because he shared 24 rounds with Usyk, ultimately losing two decisions to the Ukrainian boxing star.

For that reason, fans will take what he says very serious ahead of Usyk vs Fury 2. The 35-year-old has weighed-in with his opinion on the huge world heavyweight title rematch, and believes it is hard to look past Oleksandr Usyk for another victory over ‘The Gypsy King’.

In saying that, Joshua knows that Tyson Fury could have his moments, and is only picking Usyk to ‘edge it again’ rather than beat the Englishman with ease.

Joshua: ‘I Feel Like Usyk Will Edge It Again’

Just a week or two away from the fight, Anthony Joshua gave his verdict on the Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury rematch clash in an interview with Queensberry Promotions:

“I think it’s going to be a tough fight early on, and then I feel like Usyk will edge it again,” he said in an interview with Frank Warren‘s promotional outfit.

“He’s a class operator. I think Usyk’s one of the best out there. That’s why I think he’ll win,” concluded the former two-time world heavyweight king.

The great Ukrainian of course got the better of Anthony Joshua not once, but twice. Usyk first beat ‘AJ’ at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to become world heavyweight champion back in September 2021, before repeating the feat in Saudi Arabia in August 2022.

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh will be hoping the rematch lives up to the hype and billing it has received, with boxing fans in for a treat just a few days before Christmas.

Oleksandr Usyk goes into the rematch with Tyson Fury as the favourite with the best boxing betting sites in the UK. This comes as no surprise given the Ukrainian won the first fight.
