Anthony Elanga has thanked Bruno Fernandes for the detailed instructions he gave the young forward during Tuesday's friendly victory over Liverpool.
Erik ten Hag got his reign as United boss off to the perfect start in Thailand as he watched his side get to grips with a new style of play and smash their great rivals 4-0. Jadon Sancho, Fred, Anthony Martial and Facundo Pellistri grabbed the goals.
With Harry Maguire absent due to a minor injury, Fernandes wore the armband for the first 45 minutes before he was taken off at half-time but even when not on the pitch he still showed his captain credentials. The official United Instagram account posted a video of the new No.8 deep in conversation with Elanga, as Amad listened, and he can be seen giving what appears to be tactical advice.

The talk was clearly appreciated by young forward Elanga, who replied to the post saying: 'Thankyou @brunofernandes.10.'
Fernandes wore the armband for large chunks of last season when Maguire wasn't available and there were calls for him to be handed the armband permanently after the centre-back's terrible season.
Many wondered if being shed of the burden of the captaincy would help him focus on finding his form again after his performances plummeted following his heroics at Euro 2020.
However, Ten Hag has confirmed that Maguire will remain the club's skipper. The manager said: "Harry Maguire is the captain. I have to get to know all the players, but he's an established captain and he's achieved a lot of success. I don't see this as an issue."
