Anthony Elanga has sent a Manchester United transfer message to Erik ten Hag ahead of his arrival at Old Trafford.
The 20-year-old was all set to be leaving the club on loan in January before interim manager Ralf Rangnick vetoed that decision and brought him into the first-team fold. Since then, Elanga has made 19 Premier League appearances, scoring two goals and grabbing two assists in the process.
However, despite his efforts, United have struggled under Rangnick and find themselves without Champions League football next season. Depending on results, United will be playing either Europa League or Europa Conference League football under Erik ten Hag.

Due to these failures, Ten Hag is expected to be busy in the summer attempting to improve his squad and Elanga has now sent a clear message to his new manager about how he should approach the transfer window. Speaking to the official Manchester United website, the Swede said: "Competition is healthy, especially in the environment I am in.
"I feel like everyone is pushing each other to become the best version of themselves [and] it shows, even in training. Competition is something you need in a big team like Manchester United.
"If you want to become the best, you’ve got to compete with the best." At times this season, the lack of depth has cost United dearly and it is clear that Elanga is not afraid of competition for places as Ten Hag looks to bolster the squad.
