One of the great and exciting things about the NBA Playoffs is that seemingly anything can happen in a best-of-seven series. It is especially true this year in the Western Conference, where there is no consensus favorite and as many as five teams could have a real shot at reaching the NBA Finals.
One of those teams, of course, is the Los Angeles Lakers, who will open up their first-round series versus the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday at noon Pacific time.
Buy Lakers TicketsThe Lakers seem to be slight underdogs as the seventh seed, but they finished the regular season with a surge after multiple trades just prior to the trade deadline. As a result, many feel they have a great chance of knocking off Ja Morant and company.
Anthony Davis said on Saturday that L.A. doesn’t see itself as an underdog in this series.
LeBron James and Anthony Davis were asked if their Lakers feel like underdogs taking on the No. 2 Seed Grizzlies.
"I think seeding doesn't matter. Once you get in, it's all about matchups and things like that. We don't look at ourselves as underdogs." -AD pic.twitter.com/CAw8yPbYAn

If the Lakers take at least one of the first two games of the series in Memphis, they could end up turning into the favorites to take the series.
