Ant McPartlin jokingly scolded Alison Hammond as she made a remark about his feelings for his co-star Dec Donnelly. The moment came when the Geordie duo appeared live on This Morning on Friday (April 7).
While Alison and her co-host Dermot O'Leary presented their usual end-of-the-week show from the London-based studio, Ant and Dec, both 47, appeared via video link as they were up bright and early in Florida.
The pair have ditched the UK and headed stateside as they are set to host the grand final of Saturday Night Takeaway live from Universal on Saturday night (April 8). They jetted across the pond with a bunch of lucky viewers for a week-long stay ahead of the big show.
Throughout the latest run of their hit ITV series, Ant and Dec have once again been giving away 'places on the plane' to unsuspecting audience members and viewers watching at home ahead of hosing their final show at the theme park and entertainment resort. It is the first time the pair have been able to present the show from the exciting location due to the coronavirus pandemic.
At the end of last Saturday night's show, viewers were transported back to the noughties and then on to Florida as reunited band Busted performed the End of the Show Show. Year 3000 singers Matt Willis, Charlie Simpson and James Bourne performed a medley of their hits in a fun sketch as the show's cast, crew and hosts Ant and Dec piled into a bus ready to start the journey to Florida for the final.
Appearing on This Morning, Ant and Dec, who were both clad in summery shirts and shorts, chatted about what viewers can expect from the last show of the series. On Nicola Scherzinger being confirmed as the lat guest announcer of the series, Ant said: "She's great. She'll get involved.."
"And we've got the rest of the team with us," Dec added. "We've got Stephen [Mulhern], Fleur [East], Jordan, Andi [Peters] is here. So we've got the whole mobe [and] we're out and about around the park. We've done some filming already and got some more to do but it's going to be a really good show."
They soon got onto the subject of Ant versus Dec which sees the pair go head-to-head in a series of challenges throughout the series before a winner is decided in the last show. Last year, Dec emerged victorious meaning Ant had to carry out the forfeit.
Every month for a year, Ant had to take to Instagram and share his appreciation for his co-host and friend of 30 years. "You two are so competitive when it comes to Ant and Dec and obviously, Ant, you've really got to pull it back this year," Alison said.
"Alright Alison, thanks for bringing that up," Ant replied. "I'm under pressure. I put pressure on myself, ok. Pressure makes diamonds." They then discussed what this years forfeit will be which Dec confirmed will be the same.
"Ant's done 12 months of that and I am determined to make him do another 12 months," Dec said with a cheeky smile to which Ant interjected: "No way!" Alison then added: "Dec, I actually believe he loves doing that because he does, deep down, love you very dearly."
In response, Ant replied with faux shock: "What!? Give over, Alison. You're talking nonsense man." Dec said: "It's so easy for him to go on social media and just talk about how brilliant I am," to which Ant clapped back: "You're talking nonsense as well."
