Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway new series: First look, when it might return and how to apply to be on it

Following the success of their new show 'Ant & Dec's Limitless Win' the Geordie duo will be back on our screens with Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway this month.

The trailer above gives a first glimpse of Saturday Night Takeaway, teasing more mischief and celebrity pranks to entertain the nation every Saturday night.

The clip gives a glance back at encounters the duo have had with Hollywood stars such as Samuel L Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Hugh Jackman promising more over the next series.

This series will mark 20 years since the first series of the show way back in 2002 which quickly became a household name for millions of families across the UK.

No official date has been set for the show by ITV but it's been strongly rumoured the duo could be back on air from February 19.

Applications are also open to be a family which features on the show.

Online applications are available now and you can follow the link here.

The applications are open until April 4 ahead of the end of the new series and will require an audition process for your family before being accepted to be on the show.

It's not yet been revealed whether the duo will be reviving last years hugely successful segment 'Double Trouble' which saw stars such as Lorraine Kelly join the boys in a mini-series during the shows where celebrities were evil clones.

Ant & Dec's sidekick Stephen Mulhern also caused havoc across ITV studios during the last series of the show after he pulled on-air pranks on Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women - he is expected to return this series with his famous golden jacket.

Guest announcers are also expected to return to the format which has previously seen Gordon Ramsay, Rob Delaney, Alesha Dixon and Romesh Ranganathan take over the studio mic, adding a little extra star power and entertainment to the show.
